Ryan Shawcross and Tuncay struck in extra time as Stoke dramatically emerged victorious from their three-game epic with Manchester City on Wednesday night.
Craig Bellamy had ensured the FA Cup fifth-round replay at the Britannia Stadium finished 1-1 after 90 minutes by immediately cancelling out Dave Kitson's late strike. But the Potters made a numerical advantage after Emmanuel Adebayor's harsh sending off count by reclaiming the lead through Shawcross from a Rory Delap throw and Tuncay finished the job.

John Carew won and converted two late penalties to keep Aston Villa on course for a second Wembley final as they disposed of Crystal Palace in an FA Cup fifth-round replay at Villa Park. 

Villa had been stunned when Darren Ambrose's spot-kick cancelled out Gabriel Agbonlahor's 14th goal of the campaign. But Carew had the final say for the Carling Cup finalists, with his double blast after both penalties were conceded by Matthew Lawrence.It put Villa through to their first FA Cup quarter-final in ten years, their first last-eight appearance since they reached the 2000 final. It was the perfect tonic for Martin O'Neill's side before their Carling Cup meeting with Manchester United on Sunday.

Arsenal scored twice in five second-half minutes to come from behind to beat West Ham at Upton Park and secure their place in the FA Cup fourth round.

With more pressing matters ahead in their respective Premier League campaigns at opposite ends of the table, both managers could perhaps be forgiven for their team selection.However, once the action got under way, the encounter turned out to be a decent cup tie.
West Ham, battling relegation from the top flight, took the lead in first-half stoppage time when Alessandro Diamanti beat the offside trap to slot past Gunners goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

Two goals from Daniel Sturridge inspired Chelsea to a 5-0 thrashing of woeful Watford at Stamford Bridge as the FA Cup holders moved effortlessly into the fourth round.

Sturridge started and finished the scoring as Chelsea produced a five-star showing against their Championship opponents.
An own goal from John Eustace, a deflected effort from Florent Malouda and a thunderous finish from Frank Lampard were sandwiched in between Sturridge's brace as Chelsea dominated from the start.

Leeds emerged from five years of hurt to inflict some pain of their own as Jermaine Beckford's first-half goal secured a 1-0 victory over old enemies Manchester United at Old Trafford.
